2.3 timing Belt Replacement
Hey All,The time belt on my 97 Ranger 2.3 (w/air cond.) broke and also I have the fan, shroud & water pump wheel off. I realize the crank pulley needs to come off..but,is there a means to avoid removing the PS/AC bracket to gain the time cover off? I already snapped one A/C compressor bolt turn off (no biggy,no a/c anyway,accum/dryer is dead). Also , if the clip does need to come off and also I snap the various other 3 bolts...can I change the a/c compressor v an "idler" kind bracket in ar as if the truck didn"t have a/c ?Any assist would be appreciated....Thanks
The bracket has to come off. That"s the easy part. None of those bolts must snapTiming belt replacement: (3 parts)
7/8 inch or 22mm both workTo remove the pulley itself, I had actually to rent a 3 jaw puller and also rig something.
Thanks because that the answer Jeff !This will surley gain Me v it. I miss My truck and also want it earlier asap. Many thanks again !:party<1>
