I am looking for some aid identifying a set of spoons ns own. Castle have remained in my family members for a lengthy time and I would like to uncover the manufacturer and also approximate year i m sorry they were made. I have what seems to it is in the initial package in which they to be distributed. The only writing top top the exterior of package is top top a brand which is damaged, only about 65% is legible. As much as I deserve to tell the sticker reads;1 Doz. ASHLEY (possible missing character in former of the "A") FFEE SP (obviously "COFFEE SPOONS")1877

On come the spoons themselves. They have 2 various markings top top the back. One is a set of numbers and letters towards the center of the manage reading "1877 N.F. CO". I"m suspect is the year of design and the manufacturer. Go the "N.F." was standing for Niagara Falls? I have no idea. They room the just manufacturer I"ve been able come come up v that has equivalent initials.

The other noting is on the area whereby the cup of the spoon meets the manage (please forgive me if my terminology is incorrect) and looks to it is in a symbol of an eye possibly. It consists of a diamond with a one in the middle of it.

Any help would be considerably appreciatedThanks

I forgot to ask about the pattern as well. I assume the "ASHLEY" on the lable is the name of the pattern. Any type of thoughts?

Hello.I believe your mark "1877 N.F. CO" was a trademark that Oneida Silversmiths. Yes, the NF stands for Niagara Falls. The Niagara Silver firm was succeeded by Wm. A. Rogers Ltd. About 1900.Not certain what 1877 refers to, but it is no the day of manufacture.Oneida aquired this trademark once they purchase Wm. A. Rogers Ltd. In 1929.Pat.
